Student Visas
To be eligible for a Student visa (subclass 500) an applicant must be at least 6 years old, have been accepted to study by an Australian educational institution and have health insurance. The length of stay in Australia may be up to 5 years on this visa.
Applicants under the age of 18 must have organised suitable welfare arrangements for the duration of their stay in Australia.
The approved course of study must be registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). When applying from overseas, applications must include a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for each intended course of study, unless exempted.
